Storyline for CTX Assignment
A boy developed the fear of being judged due to his dark past, he had obesity and all the bullies by people around him gave him pressure and intense anxiety. Eventually he found a way to solve his problem, which is to eat nothing but potatoes in order to become thin. He then believed that potatoes are the solutions to all of his problems as he felt comfortable with potatoes, he started being obsessed with potatoes --- bringing a potato to everywhere, eating potato chips and the other potato-related foods, and even worse, creating his own hallucinations that cause him to lose touch with reality.
When the boy got judged by his lecturer, his mind immediately creates a hallucination of the potato as he believed that the potato can once again help him overcome the obstacles. He then hallucinated the potato turning into a girl, the girl then smiled at him and whispered some hints and answers into his ears. When he "woke up" form his hallucination, he managed to solve the questions and write the perfect answer that the lecturer wants, leading to the lecturer judging the another 3 classmates instead.

LOCATION 1
[Doorbell sound]
-Zooming out from a potato , camera shows that a boy is writing a report ( homework), look at the potato and continues writing.
( Arrangement : Boy sitting in front of the desk, with a potato on the desk , writing his hw)
-Filming the boy standing up and walking forward to the camera, handing in the homework onto the desk, an article/a news on the lecturer’s desk about a girl’s obsession of potato ,to the point where she only eats potatoes.
(Arrangement : Camera shoots from beside the lecturer’s desk and slowly move as focusing on boy’s report as he hands in, then focus on the article)
-Lecturer looking through all the homework, with stern face, and some classmates handing in more homework blahblahblah…then (MC’s hw) lecturer frowned a bit , shake head and stood up , take a gun out.
(Arrangement : film from the left side of the lecturer , three-quarter, perhaps.) consider moving the camera
-Lecturer shoots the boy with the gun , boy didn’t notice till he got shot , with shocked reaction.
(Arrangement : Three-quarter left BACK side of the lecturer , to show that she shoots the boy with the gun )
-Boy takes the bullet and opens the paper which was with the bullet , with worried ,curious and slightly painful face (can rub the area that got hit a bit)
(Arrangement : Camera position is a bit lower (right side of the boy ,shows the desk and the boy )
-Shows what is written on the paper
(Arrangement : Camera film from the right shoulder of the boy ( back) )
-Boy looks like he has a heartache , OUCH 心痛
( Close-up camera probably from his right side too , but not showing the desk)
LOCATION 2
-In a meeting room, boy doing research for the hw ,( flipping BOOKS and writing ), stressing as he throws some papers away .
(Close-up camera [can consider moving the camera from side to side]
-(There is potato chip bag on the table , beside him.) The boy eats the potato chips as he’s doing research

-EXTRA >>> The boy keep on writing , eating and tearing his paper away ( can try focusing on him throwing papers away)
-The boy still stressed out and use both hands to cover his face.
-BLACK SCENE
LOCATION 3
[2 chairs]
- Boy sitting on the left chair , on the right chair is a potato. ( this scene is like about 4 seconds)
(Camera film in front of the chairs , keep a good distance when film )
-The boy looks to his left side ( without looking at the potato , just turn his face)

-[changed camera] Filming the back of the head of the boy, then shows a girl ‘s side face lll, then the girl looked at him and smile
( Camera moves from the back of boy’s head to the right side ,move the camera for5-6 seconds , then freeze when the girl looks at him and smile)
-The smiling girl then lean to him to whisper something into his ear , then smile at him again .
(Closer-up camera , focus on their face and upper part of their body. )
-BLACK SCENE-
LOCATION 2 ( ll)
-Boy waking up / opened his eyes and look like he is delighted/amazed and keep on writing his hw
( when writes hw - film for about 8 seconds )
LOCATION 1 (II)
-The boy handing in his hw to the lecturer again
( Camera filming at the lecturer from the front , close and far enough to film the boy putting his hw down and go
-The lecturer reads his hw , looking satisfied and nodded abit later on. After a while , she stood up with a gun and fires 3/4 bullets from left side to right side ( of hers) .
(Filming further a bit , three-quarter left side of the lecturer. )
EMERGENCY : If the toy gun x shoot continuous 3 or 4 bullets , add one more scene where the camera focus on the riffle shooting the BULLET , film a few times of her shooting, then edit.
-All the classmates except the boy collapsed on their own seat. Whereas the boy looking normal on his own seat , with the same potato on his desk .
EXTRA , take some photos of the article about the potato obsession , the potato chip bag and the potato.
Of course I have also changed some parts of the plannings due to the location. And I have changed the story from having the main character to be in many places such as the meeting room to just having him to make the hallucinations in his classroom, during the class. I figured that it would help making the video more shorter and more realistic on timing and such.

The reason why I have changed the storyline and the storyboard as well is because the old storyline and storybaord that I have done before @ http://liamyw.blogspot.my/2016/11/the-potato-girl-storyline is because that they are too long, and it would be boring to the audience, especially if they find the stories way too ridiculous or complicated. Therefore, I have decided to changed the storyline to a way where the film is short enough, and have enough hints to let the audience to find out what the story is. I am glad that I did the changes and managed to film the video out as it is clear that the storyline in the final video is way better than the old storyline that I did before.
