     Sketchbooks are books or pads with blank papers for artists and designers to sketch on. Now that you will wonder why do I want to write about sketchbooks, it is because I have come to realize that the sketchbooks are beautiful artworks done by their owners. Sketchbooks show the personality of their owner as each sketchbook is very individual and unique.

     One of the few reasons that we should keep sketchbooks is because there is no pressure on keeping them, there is no deadline, no client expectation and therefore, we are free to do whatever we want in our sketchbooks. Besides, keeping sketchbooks can help us improve our creativity. Keeping a sketchbook does not mean that we are confined to just drawing, we can do collage, painting, printmaking, sewing, anything we want to do the exploration in art and design. Last but not least, keeping sketchbooks keep our skill sharp, especially drawing skill as it is an important skill when it comes to art and design field. So let's just make our sketchbooks into small passion projects!

Ozabu

     Ozabu is an artist who draws soft and smooth drawings that are related to Japanese extracts with mechanical pencil. Ozabu's drawings are usually very light and soft. Just like Dimitra Milan, Ozabu's passion for arts was big influence by her parents. However, as a self-taught artist, Ozabu did not use any reference books nor does any research on what the other artists use to draw and such. Instead, Ozabu would see a piece in person and analyze it, teaching herself the technique and trying out different tools until she understands how the piece was created.      I have realized that Ozabu often draws gory drawings, some of them even reminded me of "death" even though her drawings are very beautiful. According to the interview, Ozabu's inspirations often come from her feelings and experiences, and she experienced death of someone important in her life.
