Jack Storms  --- Optical Crystal Sculptures

Jack Storms is a Fine Art Glass Artist who designs glass sculptures (cold glass sculptures). According to Jack Storms, he created these glass sculptures without using any heat at all, all he does is grinding and it took a lot more time. It usually take him about 8-18 weeks from start to the end for each artwork. Jack Storms made glass sculptures using water, and some concepts of physics such as refractive index. He also added that his artworks cast color shadow, and it reflects the colors.

In my opinion , Jack Storms is an artist who is confident in his path of choice, he has his own perspective and I found that as an attractive point of him as an fine artist. He confessed that a lot of people asked him what his artworks mean to him , he felt that it's not the right question . His question is what his artworks mean to the people who are going to receive these artworks and bring them home. He said because that is the whole meaning of the artwork : what does it mean to the person who is going to put this piece of artwork in their home and look at it everyday.  Maybe it's an anniversary gift that is bought by a man for his wife, or maybe the person who bought it purely thinks that it is beautiful and that he wants to put this at home to look at it everyday, so that is the answer to the question.

One last thing that I noticed about Jack Storm is about his photos of his artworks on his website http://www.stormsfineart.com/jackstorms . I was amazed by how the photos were taken beautifully as it helps people look at it clearly without any source of distraction in the photos. Now people can enjoy the sight of his artworks properly even on Internet based on the photos taken on his website.

Ozabu

Ozabu is an artist who draws soft and smooth drawings that are related to Japanese extracts with mechanical pencil. Ozabu's drawings are usually very light and soft. Just like Dimitra Milan, Ozabu's passion for arts was big influence by her parents. However, as a self-taught artist, Ozabu did not use any reference books nor does any research on what the other artists use to draw and such. Instead, Ozabu would see a piece in person and analyze it, teaching herself the technique and trying out different tools until she understands how the piece was created.      I have realized that Ozabu often draws gory drawings, some of them even reminded me of "death" even though her drawings are very beautiful. According to the interview, Ozabu's inspirations often come from her feelings and experiences, and she experienced death of someone important in her life. Therefore, her drawings included some funeral elements as they are gre...

It appears that she leads painting and journaling workshops and is a passionate advocate of art in the schools . When traveling , she sketches all the time as well , basically whenever she sits still long enough to get out a pencil or pen . When sketching , she would always ask herself, " Why am I drawn to this particula...
