Silver Spoon ( Gin No Saji )  - Part 1

Silver Spoon , named as Gin no Saji in Japanese , is a manga written and illustrated by Arakawa Hiromu . This manga was made into an anime . I am really fond of this anime as it is very interesting , funny and I have learned a lot of life lessons from it . Each characters are very unique , they have their own personalities and background stories which brings out their individuality as well .

The story was set in fictional Ooezo Agricultural High School in Hokkaido . It simply shows the daily life of the first year student named Hachiken Yuugo . Hachiken Yuugo is different from other students as he is the only one who's not from farming family . The reason behind his enrollment into Ooezo Agricultural High School was to run away from his problem , studies and his family . Hachiken was stressed out during his junior high , a smart kid who can scored high marks in exam ended up seeing everyone in his class as rival , he eventually lost his sight of dreams and goals . Therefore , when he confronted his homeroom teacher about the problem he was facing , he recommended him to enroll into Ooezo , and he accepted the offer .

This anime is very hilarious but what I learned from this anime is that it's okay to run away if we have trouble and have no idea of what to do , because if we feel that something is not right , then we probably need some space to breathe and to decide on what to do next . But of course , it's not good to keep running away from our problems .  Besides , even if our daily routine is very tiring , we have to keep our positive attitude and stay hardworking to improve ourselves and also to reach our goals .

Also , overworking is not good as well , because we definitely need to take good care of our health , regardless the amount of tasks we have been given to . If there is anything wrong happened to us , we might lose the chance to enjoy something great . Just like Hachiken who collapsed due to over exertion as he does a lot of tasks to prepare the festival at Ooezo . As a result , not only his father doubted his ability to take care of himself and the decision of him studying at Ooezo , he also missed the chance to enjoy the festival that he had been working so hard for . Although , in the end , his hard works were paid off handsomely and it feels as if his friendship with his friends has gone stronger after the incident . The reason of Hachiken overworking is partly caused by his habit of not being able to say " no " to people's requests , when anyone asks for help or gets into trouble , he would always try to help them out without hesitation . Hachiken being kind is a very good trait of his , but not being able to reject and manage his schedule has caused him a lot of trouble . Therefore , it is important to manage our time properly , and it is okay to refuse to help someone else if we are too hectic to do so , I believe that our family and friends will understand it if we explain it to them .

Ozabu

Ozabu is an artist who draws soft and smooth drawings that are related to Japanese extracts with mechanical pencil. Ozabu's drawings are usually very light and soft. Just like Dimitra Milan, Ozabu's passion for arts was big influence by her parents. However, as a self-taught artist, Ozabu did not use any reference books nor does any research on what the other artists use to draw and such. Instead, Ozabu would see a piece in person and analyze it, teaching herself the technique and trying out different tools until she understands how the piece was created.      I have realized that Ozabu often draws gory drawings, some of them even reminded me of "death" even though her drawings are very beautiful. According to the interview, Ozabu's inspirations often come from her feelings and experiences, and she experienced death of someone important in her life. Therefore, her drawings included some funeral elements as they are gre...
Cuong NguYen      Cuong NguYen is a figurative artist who is famous for painting realistic human portraits . It is said that his sometimes romantic and sometimes mysterious portraits and still life paintings reflect his positive outlook and determination to persevere . This is what makes him different from majority of the artists even though he had gone through hardships and poverty . Nowadays , Cuong NguYen works in both oil paints and pastels , he has reached a level where he can achieve smoothness of gradation  in using pastels without using blender at all . In oils , he aims for realism that never crosses the line to photographic . People see his paintings in a way that they reveal a fundamentally optimistic view of the world and a sense of wonder towards the beauty that surrounds us .      In my opinion , Cuong Nguyen has trained himself to hold a good sense of colors and which helped him to achieve the realism he wants to show in his painting...
