Cuong NguYen

Cuong NguYen is a figurative artist who is famous for painting realistic human portraits . It is said that his sometimes romantic and sometimes mysterious portraits and still life paintings reflect his positive outlook and determination to persevere . This is what makes him different from majority of the artists even though he had gone through hardships and poverty . Nowadays , Cuong NguYen works in both oil paints and pastels , he has reached a level where he can achieve smoothness of gradation  in using pastels without using blender at all . In oils , he aims for realism that never crosses the line to photographic . People see his paintings in a way that they reveal a fundamentally optimistic view of the world and a sense of wonder towards the beauty that surrounds us .

In my opinion , Cuong Nguyen has trained himself to hold a good sense of colors and which helped him to achieve the realism he wants to show in his paintings . The fact that his greatest pleasure was to find time to draw has shown his passion towards drawings . Besides , it is revealed that he helped his family to earn extra livings at a young age by drawing portraits on streets . He has shown great determination to do what he loves to do , and now he is able to draw details of the portrait such as the eyes , hair and such .

Ozabu

Ozabu is an artist who draws soft and smooth drawings that are related to Japanese extracts with mechanical pencil. Ozabu's drawings are usually very light and soft. Just like Dimitra Milan, Ozabu's passion for arts was big influence by her parents. However, as a self-taught artist, Ozabu did not use any reference books nor does any research on what the other artists use to draw and such. Instead, Ozabu would see a piece in person and analyze it, teaching herself the technique and trying out different tools until she understands how the piece was created.      I have realized that Ozabu often draws gory drawings, some of them even reminded me of "death" even though her drawings are very beautiful. According to the interview, Ozabu's inspirations often come from her feelings and experiences, and she experienced death of someone important in her life. Therefore, her drawings included some funeral elements as they are gre...
Jack Storms  --- Optical Crystal Sculptures       Jack Storms is a Fine Art Glass Artist who designs glass sculptures (cold glass sculptures). According to Jack Storms, he created these glass sculptures without using any heat at all, all he does is grinding and it took a lot more time. It usually take him about 8-18 weeks from start to the end for each artwork. Jack Storms made glass sculptures using water, and some concepts of physics such as refractive index. He also added that his artworks cast color shadow, and it reflects the colors.      In my opinion , Jack Storms is an artist who is confident in his path of choice, he has his own perspective and I found that as an attractive point of him as an fine artist. He confessed that a lot of people asked him what his artworks mean to him , he felt that it's not the right question . His question is what his artworks mean to the people who are going to receive these ar...
