INKTOBER

InkTober is a challenge created by Jake Parker in 2009 ( http://mrjakeparker.com/inktober ) . In every October, artists from all over the world can take on the drawing challenge by doing ONE ink drawing every day for the entire month , meaning that total would be 31 pieces of ink drawings for the entire month.Mr Jake Parker, the creator of InkTober in year 2009 had mentioned that he created InkTober to improve his inking skills and also develop a positive drawing habit. He also mentioned that anyone can do InkTober , just grab a pen and start drawing.

InkTober Rules :
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).

2) Post it online

3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2016

4) Repeat
Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. INKtober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you’re consistent the better.

That's it! Now go make something beautiful.

Many people have done Inktober and they have been posting their drawings online such as on Instagram.  >>>  https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/inktober/?hl=en
In my opinion, I think that InkTober has become a great influence for motivating people to draw more, especially a procrastinator and perfectionist like me. There is nothing perfect, and we won’t improve if we don’t allow ourselves to make mistakes in our drawings, so keep going and just keep drawing.

Ozabu

Ozabu is an artist who draws soft and smooth drawings that are related to Japanese extracts with mechanical pencil. Ozabu's drawings are usually very light and soft. Just like Dimitra Milan, Ozabu's passion for arts was big influence by her parents. However, as a self-taught artist, Ozabu did not use any reference books nor does any research on what the other artists use to draw and such. Instead, Ozabu would see a piece in person and analyze it, teaching herself the technique and trying out different tools until she understands how the piece was created.      I have realized that Ozabu often draws gory drawings, some of them even reminded me of "death" even though her drawings are very beautiful. According to the interview, Ozabu's inspirations often come from her feelings and experiences, and she experienced death of someone important in her life. Therefore, her drawings included some funeral elements as they are gre...
Dory Kanter      " The greatest gift of sketching is how relaxing it is ---- relaxing and exhilarating at the same time . My internal art critic goes on vacation , and I am playful and don't worry about results .  "      Dory Kanter is an artist who does quick sketches and visual story-telling in her everyday life . It appears that she leads painting and journaling workshops and is a passionate advocate of art in the schools . With great funding , Kanter has developed innovative art and literacy curricula for high school students , and she has lectured at Yale University about the importance of creativity .      According to what Dory Kanter has mentioned , her habit at home , is to sketch as a way to reflect about each day . When traveling , she sketches all the time as well , basically whenever she sits still long enough to get out a pencil or pen . When sketching , she would always ask herself, " Why am I drawn to this particula...
Jack Storms  --- Optical Crystal Sculptures       Jack Storms is a Fine Art Glass Artist who designs glass sculptures (cold glass sculptures). According to Jack Storms, he created these glass sculptures without using any heat at all, all he does is grinding and it took a lot more time. It usually take him about 8-18 weeks from start to the end for each artwork. Jack Storms made glass sculptures using water, and some concepts of physics such as refractive index. He also added that his artworks cast color shadow, and it reflects the colors.      In my opinion , Jack Storms is an artist who is confident in his path of choice, he has his own perspective and I found that as an attractive point of him as an fine artist. He confessed that a lot of people asked him what his artworks mean to him , he felt that it's not the right question . His question is what his artworks mean to the people who are going to receive these ar...
